February 1967 Page 5 OCEAN FALLS OBSERVATIONS by Peter Freund
Last
spring, Ocean Falls joined the outside world by receiving the long
awaited event of television. The station is privately owned and receives
"delayed" or "canned" programs from Terrace not being on "live" micro
circuit as yet. We get a variety of receptions being plagued with poor
pictures and poor sound, no sound good pictures or just no sound and no
pictures. However, these will, in due time be properly put in order and
of course the terrain of this area is no asset to good reception.
The Terrace station has asked the CBC to give them a commitment as to
when they can expect live televison hook-up, but to date CBC has not
given them an answer.
