Falls
Jim Reed, Industrial Relations department was transferred to Elk Falls
last month. Jim started in the Pipe shop and was 1st vice-president of
Local 312 and a wage and convention delegate before joining the
Industrial Relations department.
Double Standards Last month a writ was served on CZCL by one of its
employees asking for settlement for damages to his personal property
caused in the Martin Inn Hotel. When the company wants damages out of an
employee, they arbitrarily set the figure of settlement call the
employee into the office and say to hm, " you owe CZCL this much, sign
the payroll deduction slip". When an employee asks for damages he must
seek redress through the courts.
