Mr. Miller, a wireless telegraphy expert of Seattle, who has been
experimenting at the Falls has succeeded in getting into communication
with several outside stations, and it is now confidently expected that
the Dominion Government will install a station here at no distant date.
The work on the large dam at the outlet of Link Lake was closed down for
one week owing to alteration in the plans for construction.
The work of cleaning the Bella Coola River and putting same in shape for
log driving will be commenced at an early date.
Building construction goes on merrily. Among buildings which will be
shortly erected are included a Box Factory, Shingle Mill and Hospital.
The latter will contain X-Rays apparatus and will be one of the finest
equipped institutions of is kind on the Coast.
The Prince Albert docked here Saturday and discharged a large
consignment of machinery and gasoline.
