The new sawmill had to shut down for a few hours Tuesday on account of a hot box, but the small mill was running in less than an hour's time, so that the output of lumber was not stopped.

The new office building for the Ocean Falls Co. is rapidly nearing completion under the supervision of Mr. John Sperle. A concrete foundation has been built for the support of the vault.

A party of OF ladies took a spin down the inlet one sunny day this week. Misses Templin and Rochleau and Mesdames Rochleau and Holland were among the party. Upon their return they stated that they saw a school of whales, one bear (on the beach) and several goats on the mountain side but while it was not much of an afternoon for site seeing they expect to do better on the next trip.
